About The Body Lab
The Body Lab was born out of a hunger for deeper connection—a more “human” element—in our healthcare system and better answers for people in pain. We know from experience how discouraging it can be to experience injury-related setbacks. We know how hopeless it feels to have recurring pain that prevents you from performing at your best and doing what you love. But we’re here to get you back in business, and you might even have some fun along the way.

Your pain is our problem.
We’re here to help you better understand your pain and to walk alongside you as we make the necessary changes to eliminate it for good. We won’t look to an image or scan for the source of your pain, but rather, we will seek to understand you as an entire complex, three-dimensional human being by listening and assessing. We’ll be crafting a treatment plan that’s specific to your needs, and along the way, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of your body and how it functions as well as acquire a new set of tools to maintain your body down the road. And when we’re done, we’ll have you moving, performing, and feeling better than you were before.

I’m Dr. Rachel Huston—chiropractic physician and founder of The Body Lab.
I’m from small town, Nebraska where people work hard and take really good care of each other. Those values are instilled in my bones to this day and are at the root of my practice.
I went to school right here in Lincoln at the University of Nebraska and continued my education at Palmer College of Chiropractic where I graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. I founded The Body Lab with the idea that we don’t have to just keep doing things the way we’ve always done them when it comes to healthcare. What if we could make rehab fun? What if we could be completely transparent in every aspect of treatment, from cost to number of visits needed, with no surprises or crazy sales pitches? What if we could not only bridge the gap between chiropractors and physical therapists, but also bring them together under the same roof?
I wanted to create the type of place I always wished existed as an athlete, and my hope is that you find our one-stop-shop concept at The Body Lab to be different than any other chiropractic or physical therapy experience you’ve ever had.
I’m invested in you as a human, and nothing lights me up more than celebrating your wins with you or being a trusted resource for you, both in and out of the treatment room. I absolutely cannot wait to work with you, and from the bottom of my heart, thanks for being here.

Hi! I’m Jamie Kuhl – doctor of physical therapy and certified strength and conditioning specialist. I’m also a wife and a mom to my daughter and rescue pup.
I grew up in southeast Nebraska, where I helped my dad on the farm and found my love for helping people, movement, and athletics. Volleyball led me to Iowa State University, where I earned my B.S. in kinesiology and health with emphasis in exercise science. I went on to play professional volleyball in France, which further ignited my passion for wellness and rehabilitation. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from UNMC with my doctorate of physical therapy. My passion is orthopedics, and I’ve earned a Board-Certified Specialist Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy.
I take pride in a physical therapy approach that is detail-oriented, creative, and holistic. I aim to address the physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional aspects that limit your performance and potential. My mission is to use my knowledge and experiences to help you achieve your happiest and healthiest self. I’m so happy you found The Body Lab.

Hi! I’m Chloe Bishoff – office manager at The Body Lab.
I grew up here in Lincoln and was involved in many sports. Being an athlete, I often found myself in a weight room or a gym during my spare time. My love for athletics and working out has led me to study at Nebraska Wesleyan where I plan to major in exercise science and get a masters in athletic training.
I take pride in being a highly motivated, goal oriented, and positive person. I love to be a positive and smiling face for those who get to meet me. I have a strong passion for helping people to become the healthiest versions of themselves and I will be your biggest hype woman!

I joke that I came out of the womb knowing two certainties—that Husker football is life and that I was going to be a chiropractor. I went to school right here in Lincoln at the University of Nebraska and continued my education at Palmer College of Chiropractic where I graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. I’m a chiropractor, but more importantly, I’m just passionate about people. I am my best and truest self when I’m using my skills and knowledge to educate and enhance someone else’s well-being.
Another thing I’m passionate about is movement. Whether it’s running, cycling, strength training, or yoga, I feel the most alive when I’m moving my body. More importantly, our ultimate longevity and health rest on the shoulders of how much we move. But in order to move often, we must first move well. That’s where I come in. I’m here to help you return to the sport or activity you love and help you become better than before. I absolutely cannot wait to work with you, and from the bottom of my heart, thanks for being here.

I’m Dr. Max Baum—chiropractic physician at The Body Lab.
I’m from Overland Park, Kansas where I was always found doing something active. From being constantly outside with my neighborhood pals to playing sports since the age of 4, movement was a huge part of my life before I even knew it. I attended Baker University in small town, Kansas where I received my degree in exercise science. While attending Baker, I also played four seasons as an outside back on the men’s soccer team, who went to four national tournaments. Shortly after graduating, I also became a certified exercise physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine, which I continue to uphold and use in my treatment style. I then started school at Cleveland Chiropractic College and graduated in April of 2022.
Being around athletics growing up introduced me to movement and performance. That interest has now turned into my passion. I believe that movement is medicine, especially when it is high quality movement with purpose and function. I’m constantly engaging in outside work to enhance my knowledge in this field to treat anyone I may come across as a whole person rather than just another patient.
In my free time, I love to lift heavy things for exercise (not run), cook, eat good food, and try new breweries. Most importantly, I am always spending time with my family and friends. The Body Lab’s mission fit my vision of how chiropractic care and rehabilitation should look perfectly. I am so excited to explore Lincoln, enrich my career and have the opportunity to get to know some really awesome people.
